Apala, or Apalala, is an Indian Dragon who guarded the Subhavastu River. Legend says that Apala wasn't happy with his life so one day Buddha came and converted him to Buddhism. To thank Buddha, Apala uses his powers to keep the other dragons in check. The people of the area were grateful and they gave him gifts of gratitude. After a while though, the people forgot about Apala and he got mad. Apala decides to turn against the humans and become an evil dragon.
